  •These are filmed manly of bands and other artists that are playing live. These are normally incorporated with stories and other clips.
• Animation
  •This where the videos of the band either tell a story through there video or they are intertwined with live shots such as the Red Hot Chili Peppers video Californication and the KoRn video Freak on a Leash.
• Novel
• These videos tell a story which can either relate to the song or have a meaning in their own. These are also intertwined with live shots of the band playing. Good examples of these videos are Green Day, When September Ends and Fall Out Boy, A Little Less Sixteen Candles a Little More Touch Me
• Film Extracts
• These can be songs which have inface been made for the film. The music videos normally show extracts of the film and even the band animated within the film. Music Videos which have been used for this are ones such as Chad Croeger, whisch was shot for The Spider man movies... and Linkin Park which have Created 2 songs for the 2 Transformer Videos.
